The only reason I saw this film was because it was 50 cents at our local dollar theater and even THOSE 50 cents were paid for for me.  And I am glad I did not have to waste half a coke(at the vending machine) on this film.

This film is about a 17 year old girl(Molly Hartley) with a very troubled past. She managed to survive a stab wound from her crazy mother who is now in a mental institution. Her and her father relocate to a city nearby the institution where Molly can also get a fresh start at a new high school. At first she has trouble fitting in but soon draws the eye of the “popular guy” on campus(sound like a teeny bopper flick?), which only brings her problems from the “popular girl” on campus.  Once word about her troubled past begins to leak out around campus, Molly must battle high school drama while being oblivious to what fate awaits her on her 18th birthday.

I will admit that this film did start off pretty interesting.  My attention was fixated to the screen during the opening scene. The scene is a bit confusing at the end, but with the cliffhanger feel that draws you into wanting to know more.  However, once I actually got to the bulk of the film I was having problems focusing on Molly Hartley, and trying to decide what I will do during the next leap year(sarcasm indeed).

I am really not a fan of horror flicks aimed at teens(99.9% of horror buffs will agree with me, and this was definitely aimed at teens. The dialogue was made to draw in girls with a high school freshman mindset, and the scares were lame and not the least bit scary. Oh, and the twist at the end? I guessed that halfway into the film, which is never a fun experience for someone with at least a small sense of creativity.

Overall, this film is not worth me typing anymore. Only watch this if you are a little girl looking for something “scary” that would not normally scare anyone else.
